The Manufacturing Site in Vienna is Takeda’s largest manufacturing site and proudly looks back on more than 65 years of expertise and breakthrough innovations for our patients. These cover plasma-derived therapies and biologics. 25 different products leave the Vienna site and reach patients at the local market and in over 100 countries worldwide.
As Head of Site Engineering (all genders) Vienna, you will lead and manage engineering operations for the entire manufacturing site and co-located functions. In addition, you will play a key role as a member of the Plasma OpU Engineering Leadership Team and the Site Leadership Team, which sets the strategic direction for the site and is accountable for operating results.
Your Main Responsibilities
Develop solutions to complex issues and facilities as well as Engineering initiatives with cross-functional team leaders, following cGMP regulations and internal procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.
Build and execute financial plans and budgets and allocate resources effectively and efficiently to meet business goals.
Ensure compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements, cGMP, legal, financial, and SOPs.
Develop processes to produce high-quality products with minimal waste.
Manage daily operations of internal and external workforces, implementing maintenance, metrology, calibration, and facilities services at cGMP biotech sites with 24/7 operations.
Lead central planning, scheduling, and reliability engineering of all maintenance and calibration activities.
Manage the safety, compliance, and financial performance of the organization according to customer KPIs and production goals.
Develop compliance and implementation of global procedures and service-level agreements.
Drive continuous improvement in operations and a process-oriented fact-based culture.
Build up a robust and capable leadership team
Your profile
University degree in engineering or an equivalent discipline.
Significant leadership experience in multinational companies with matrix structures.
Extensive experience in project and stakeholder management.
Broad understanding of technical topics, regulatory requirements, and general life cycle management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strategic mindset and business acumen.
Analytical thinking with an ability to understand complex technical issues and present them to different stakeholders.
Excellent change management and people management skills.
Experience in GMP manufacturing and handling regulatory inspections is desirable.
Lean Management, DMAIC, Green/Black Belt, or Lean/Six Sigma certification is desirable.
Business proficiency in English and intermediate German skills.
A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 5.228- gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) – the actual salary depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
