Join Takeda as a Digital Scientist, Biologics Drug Product Development (Bio DPD) where you will design, build, and deploy industry-leading smart algorithms, information architect and predictive models. You will also be recognized as a technical expert within department and across division for advanced Data Management, mathematical modeling, data science and advanced automation, to support Digital capability development for Bio DPD. As part of the DPD Biologics, you will report to Director, Drug Product Development.

How you will contribute:

• Provide technical expertise within the department and across division for software development, and data modeling.

• Contribute to the current knowledge in related scientific data collection, data management, and data analysis concepts.

• Build data warehouse and develop solutions for advanced data management.

• Work with formulation and process scientists to convert fragmented experimental data into information (data extraction, structuring, formatting, and database design/development) that is compatible to different modeling software.

• Wrangle raw data sets into a common or industry format for advance data analysis.

• Provide applied data science and predictive analysis and modeling support (e.g., AI/ML, statistical, chemometric) to multiple projects or project teams.

• Have some experience in technology architect, IT & Dev Ops and develop solutions for lab machine automation and monitoring.

• Participate in cross-functional workstreams and project teams to provide technical support as a subject matter expert in digital science & data engineering.

• Stay current on new trends, new technologies, and external communities and related consortia.

• Develop relationships with important vendors and assist with technical aspects of vendor negotiations.

• Analyze IT issues and coordinates potential resolution with team members.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Data Science, Bio-Informatics, Engineering or related pharmaceutical science and 8+ years relevant industry experience.

• Masters degree in computer science, Data Science, Bio-Informatics, Engineering or related pharmaceutical science 6+ years relevant industry experience.

• PhD in computer science, Data Science, Bio-Informatics, Engineering or related pharmaceutical science related pharmaceutical science and 0+ years relevant industry experience.

• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

• Experience in MATLAB or R is a plus

• Excellent skills in communication, training, and collaboration.

• May require approximately 5-10% travel.

Base Salary Range: $143,500 to $205,000, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.
