TAJCO Hiring for Key Account Manager Full Time

TAJCO is a family-owned company headquartered in Denmark with manufacturing in Slovakia and China and sales offices and distribution centers worldwide. TAJCO develops and manufactures premium exterior trim solutions for the global automotive industry and works with some of the most powerful brands within the automotive industry. To ensure a strong focus on TAJCO’s new product line, Exterior Trim, on the US market, they are now looking for an ambitious Key Account Manager to join their sales team in Detroit, MI.

As Key Account Manager, you will be in charge of sales to all new and existing TAJCO customers within the Exterior Trim division, and specifically develop and build our Exterior Windows Trim line. Furthermore, you will be responsible for winning new programs to TAJCO, to understand new customer requirements, to communicate these to relevant stakeholders and to represent TAJCO policies towards customers and OEMs. The Key Account Manager will directly to the Head of Sales, Exterior Trim.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Key Account Manager, you will have a crucial part in designing a winning sales strategy for the Exterior Trim product area on the US market.

Your responsibilities include:

• Support in designing a winning sales strategy for the product area for the US market.
• Manage running business and ongoing development of potential, profitable business within the product area
• Short- and long-term business planning within the product area, including review and follow-up
• Budgeting and strategic forecasting within the business area
• Leading contract review process
• Supporting the quotation and calculation process, R-meetings and gate reviews
• Price and contract negotiations
• Collecting and analyzing customer and competitor information
• User of customer portals
• Representing TAJCO at conferences and, tradeshows, and customer events
• Acquisition of new customers and new projects within the business area
• Collecting competitor intelligence for US market
• Representing TAJCO sustainability plans towards OEMs

Key Competencies

You most likely have a technical and/or commercial education with sector experience from the automotive manufacturing industry (metal forming or other).

Furthermore, you:

• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with sales of exterior trims with a strong network of people in the Exterior Trim business
• Have a technical sales background with metal forming/stainless steel/press tools and/or surface treatment
• Possess strong negotiation skills and credibility with both internal and external customers
• Are dynamic and resilient with a diplomatic assertiveness
• Are skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and are used to state of the art communication tools

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package

Location: Detroit, MI (hybrid setup)

Travel: Approximately 40%
