Position Purpose:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist nurtures a healthy and productive work environment by developing and supporting People function initiatives. The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key part in fostering an inclusive culture and works to ensure that all policies, programs, and initiatives promote belonging and optimize performance.

This role will have responsibility for the development and implementation of new and innovative talent acquisition strategies. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will build processes and enhance systems necessary to attract, select and retain top talent.

Main Outcomes of the Position:

• Build a great candidate and hiring manager experience during the recruitment process. Communicates consistently and openly with hiring managers, human resources advisors, and candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure all constituents are updated.
• Consistently builds recruiting reports, data & analytics which have significant influence on acquisition
• Fosters local relationships with schools & businesses and enhances TAIT network by attending various local events
• Share information on trends in talent acquisition with management and recommends ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the TAIT
• Administers the functions of the holistic employment lifecycle including aspects of recruitment, onboarding, talent development.
• Serves as advisor and counsel for managers and team members in assigned areas in relationship management
• Participates in the development of team retention strategies and coordinates engagement activities, programs, and initiatives

Expectations:

• Develop and drive recruitment strategies including sourcing, pipeline building, candidate experience, intern placement
• Conducts candidate screening interviews to ensure they are a fit for role and culture
• Manages, prioritises, and closes searches against an agreed timeline and is responsible for status reporting on open roles
• Manage database of job outlines and scorecards with the support of the HR team and hiring managers
• Manages vendor relationships including ATS system (Greenhouse), LinkedIn, and Indeed
• Ensures compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or relevant working experience.
• Experience in a talent acquisition function with progressive responsibility
• Experience in full cycle recruitment
• Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering environments a plus
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
