The Controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the Company to include the oversight of accounting processes, financial reporting, month-end closing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal controls and compliance with general accounting rules. This position will also play an important role in engaging with various operations teams to assist in reporting and monitoring unit level results to help drive performance. The accounting team is critical partner in helping the Company achieve its goals.Essential Functions:• Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department and an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s responsibilities and objectives.• Manage month-end reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciling bank accounts, general ledger accounts, expense allocations, inventory reporting and fixed asset records. • Focuses on continuous improvements of accounting processes, controls and financial reporting. • Reinforce our culture by maintaining a professional and respectful atmosphere in the Accounting Department• Monitors performance of the accounting team and provides development, coaching and training to ensure optimal performance and results• A strong working relationship with the senior management team as well as District Managers on unit level performance and operating benchmarks• Analyzing actual production costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.• Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.• Maintaining and reviewing Cost Accounting System in areas of production.
