The Opportunity

TAFE NSW is looking for qualified, experienced individuals who wish to be considered for casual Assessor opportunities across NSW. The Assessor is responsible for the design, validation and implementation of assessments and moderations suited to a range of modes and locations. The Assessor supports teachers and head teachers in meeting ASQA compliance functions.

With a focus to motivate and support students in achieving their desired outcomes the Assessor will build relationships with students to support completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

• A relevant qualification at Degree level or higher in Early Childhood.
• TAESS00011 – Assessor Skill Set (which is part of TAE40116 or equivalent).
• A minimum of two years’ experience working in a role in Early Childhood, at least part of which has been gained within the last 18 months.
• Ability to develop and conduct assessments, validations and moderations in the VET environment.
• Understanding of VET regulatory compliance requirements.
