An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Assistant Accountant to join the T2 team. This entry level role is based at our Global Support Office in Collingwood, and the successful candidate will be a key member of the Global Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Completion of weekly Bank Reconciliations
• Prepare accruals and Month end journal entries
• General Ledger reconciliations
• Post fortnightly Payroll journals
• Monthly Prepayments Reconciliation
• Assist with preparation of month end reporting
• Assist with external reporting and tax obligations
• Assist with completion of external audits
• Ensure Financial risks are proactively detected and addressed
• Support the effective management of financial risks and control framework
• Assist to ensure month-end reporting timelines and standards are met
• Ensure adherence to Unilever Global Accounting policies

The successful candidate will have:

• CA / CPA qualified or studying towards
• 1-2 years’ experience in an assistant accountant or transactional finance role
• Strong internal control mindset
• A focus on continuous improvement across the short and long term
• Broad technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Strong commercial acumen
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Strong excel skills
