Job Overview

T-Mobile’s Social Media Services strategy is to meet and engage with customers on the platform of their choice. Social Listening Specialists support this strategy by being a true Social Media expert for the Senior Leadership Team of T-Mobile, USA. Through thorough review of the social web to watch for trending topics and influential posts, Social Listening Specialists will proactively identify ways for T-Mobile Senior Leadership to positively engage with current and potential customers. Social Listening Specialist will also identify issues, events, and monitor negative sentiment to determine if problems should be escalated to appropriate cross-functional business partners for review and resolution and could pull high-level data to quantify the issue. Work needs may change based on the strategies and needs of Executive leadership, T-Mobile Public Relations and Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor social platforms, channels, news outlets, to identify and route issues and opportunities

• Determines when potentially customer impacting issues should be escalated to cross-functional business partners

• Consult with T-Force Leadership regarding T-Mobile emerging trends & issues on Social Media

• Responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

• Notify key stakeholders of social sentiment to identify, refine and deliver results and mitigate potential damage to the Brand image

• Bring ideas and experience for new partnerships and insights that can build value across the business

• Work closely with your peers and leaders to ensure the social media team is providing the most insightful and actionable information

• Use your creativity and analytic skills to help determine social trends in earned consumer engagement as well as Brand campaign data

• Be a leader within the team – share your knowledge and bolster the performance of your peers

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Work Experience:

• 2-4 years In an online social media specialist or community moderator position ()

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Extreme discretion when handling confidential and/or proprietary information. (Required)

• Able to communicate with leadership from Senior Management to VP level (Required)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, G+, YouTube, etc.) (Required)

• Excellent written communication skills and knowledge of how to converse on social networks within the Brand and individual’s identified online voice (Required)

• Experience with social media strategy and execution. (Required)

• Demonstrated competency in T-Mobile applications including but not limited to: Remedy, Samson, T-Community, VASA, QuikView, and Microsoft Outlook. (Required)

• Ability to work given schedule across 24×7 business hours (Required)

• Experience with Sparkcentral, SPRINKLR, & Netbase (Preferred)

• Ability to produce in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline driven environment. (Preferred)

• Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of assigned functional areas (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
