The Senior Accountant position offers remote work flexibility. We are open to someone seeking either remote or in-person employment within our Dallas, Texas office.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO and other members of management in the coordination, review and oversight of areas which includes but may not be limited to financial reporting, Board reporting, regulatory reporting, accounting operations, branch operations, policies and procedures and internal and external audits.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Financial reporting:

1) Monthly and quarterly financial reports

2) Budget and variance analysis

3) Performance reports

Internal controls:

1) Compliance with regulatory laws

2) Compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting

3) Compliance with internal policies and procedures

Regulatory reporting:

1) SEC reporting

2) FRB reporting

3) FFIEC call reporting

Assists in the day-to-day operations of accounting department including:

1) Capital monitor

2) Accounts payable

3) Fixed assets

4) Journal entries

5) Reconciliation

6) Vendor due diligence

Prepare the following board reports

1) Loan reports

2) Cost center reports

3) Loan loss reserve analysis

Process Payroll

1) Review and process payroll on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis

2) 401k reporting to payroll as well as Fidelity

3) Track and ensure benefit corrections are completed accurately on payroll

4) All payroll duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• 5 or more years banking experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• CPA highly desired
• Must be well organized, and a team player.
• Ability to read and interpret technical research and reports and apply to business situations.
• Ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong computer skills with an advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
