Do you have what it takes to act as a finance professional in a highly complex Contract logistics environment? We are looking for a Finance Manager, in the UK overlooking a finance team of 4, who is not afraid to ask questions, is a great stakeholder manager and will act as the finance conscience of our UK tech sites.
How you will contribute
Lead a team of 4 Direct reports. Manage, coach and develop a successful team. Ensure goal congruence and consistency.
Oversee timely and accurate month end close as well as providing meaningful variance commentary of results against budget / forecast – support controllers to achieve a WD4 close and provide critiqued financial summaries to Finance Director.
Manage budgeting and forecasting process in the region in close cooperation with Plant and Regional Management ensuring movements are fully explained and understood. Support controllers and provide financial insight to ensure that movements are clearly understood and presented to the business.
Support the growth of the business with Business Development / Account Management. Manage costing information & review IRR template. Provide insight on commercial matters.
Oversee weekly cash forecasting for entity and ensure that working capital is effectively managed.
Support Financial accounts team & Director with annual audit and filings.
Responsible for corporate, local, property, sales, payroll and other taxes. Support Financial Accountant be ultimately accountable to Corp Tax department.
Be Finance lead on customer contract renewals and provide financial analysis to Account Management and Pricing teams to support negotiations
Support Procurement & management with financial analysis for partner increments, contract term renewals.
Be link with Corporate finance and assist with rollout of accounting policies / process changes.
Develop understanding of all sites / customers to be able to step in and cover where necessary where objectives conflict / during periods of absence. Identify key focus points for controllers to ensure that efforts are directed in the best interests of the business.
Support Finance Director as required.
CPA, CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant
5 or more years relevant experience in a similar role preferably with logistics experience
Working knowledge /expertise of VAT & Corporation Tax
IT literate including strong Excel skills, Outlook, Word, Power point
Knowledge of SAP / BPC would be an advantage
Strong analytical and presentation of results skills
Experience of managing a Finance team
Skill, tack, diplomacy and proficiency in working with auditors
May provide input on the development and/or revision of various policies procedures.
Able to prioritize under pressure and be able to communicate solutions in clear concise manner
Flexibility of working hours.
Willingness to travel as and when required.
