Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Quality Assurance Test Lead Engineer will be responsible for the leading the Allegro line of business test program for software and, system development. In this role the lead will establish best practices for developing and documenting test plans, test cases, and test execution. This includes investigating, analyzing, and implementing automated test capabilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead test planning, execution and support for the Allegro Business Systems. Propose test process enhancements, automation opportunities, and alternative tools to drive optimization and standardization to align with enterprise product and technology standards.
Create, perform, and document risk analysis, test plans, test cases
Perform manual and automated testing
Record test progress and results
Code automated tests
Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
Discover bugs within software
Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing
Research and analyze product features being tested
Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes
Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of IT development or testing experience OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 8+ years of digital and/or web application testing experience
3+ years of experience in at least one of high-level programming languages (Java or Python). Prefer to have at least 1 year of experience with shell scripting language (e.g. Powershell).
3+ years of hands-on experience developing automation test plans and test scripts for page objects. Strong knowledge in testing automation frameworks such as Web I/O or Appium.
3+ years of experience using SQL queries and able to develop query-based test cases.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and API test tools and methodologies
Desired Characteristics:
Cross functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization
Minimum of 2 years test experience in banking and financial services
Strong attention to detail as well as organization and time management skills
Ability to work with teams to gather and analyze unrefined business requirements from multiple sources and formulate and deliver a test plan in a timely manner
Ability to work under the pressure of multiple projects and deadlines at once
Highly motivated self-starter with a high level of demonstrated initiative
Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and think outside the box
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
