Syms Insurance Agency is looking for an individual who has prior experience as an Accounting Clerk.

A few key responsibilities are as follows:

• Analyze and process accounts payable/receivables in a timely manner within the agency management system
• Invoice clients, pay insurance carriers and wholesalers
• Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices
• Prepare checks, wire transfers, and ACH transactions in banking system
• Maintain copies of check requests, invoices or correspondence necessary for file
• Sort mail and open cash receipts, enter premium payments into the underwriting system, and then remote deposit checks into the bank each day
• Process return premium checks weekly
• Prepare and deliver agency commission statements on a monthly basis
• Reconcile bank accounts and various other accounts on a monthly basis
• Assist with the month end closing process and financial statement report preparation
• Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Department

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:
