About the role

Our Sydney Water People and Culture team is all about building and maintaining an employee culture of engagement and high performance.

As Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Manager you will lead established teams to develop and implement talent acquisition and onboarding strategies to attract and retain top talent, improve organisational capability, encourage internal career mobility and maximise employee engagement.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Partnering and Workforce Strategy, your new role be essential in driving best possible employee experience throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle across the Sydney Water business.

As Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Manager you will provide leadership to the Recruitment and Sourcing and People Operations teams. In this new role you will lead the teams of both outsourced recruitment and agency hire providers, as well as an internal People Services team.

As Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Manager you will be responsible for the:

• Development of identified workforce plans to support the strategic and proactive recruitment and talent sourcing approach across the business
• Delivery of best possible employee experience by ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle
• Partner with People and Culture Business Partners and the Workforce Planning team to develop and implement cost effective resourcing strategies, and policy and procedure based on needs identified in strategic workforce plans
• Implement and maintain attraction strategy based on Sydney Waters brand and EVP
• Manage the offboarding process and analysis of survey data for input and evolution of Sydney Waters employee engagement strategies
• Oversee quality and efficient level of people services support function including service provision for onboarding, exiting and organisational restructures

About you

You are an experienced Senior HR business professional, passionate about service delivery and service excellence. You bring with you a high level of expertise in full range of recruitment, sourcing, onboarding and employee engagement strategies. You are experienced in the development, implementation and monitoring of continued improvement processes to drive transformational improvements of People Operations Policies, procedures and process.

You are passionate about providing the best possible employee experience across all facets of the employee lifecycle. You are experienced managing relationships with outsourced recruitment and sourcing agency providers, as well as internal People Services Business functions.

You can understand and anticipate future workforce needs to support organisational workforce planning development, to identify and drive proactive recruitment and talent engagement strategies, and to support quick response to emerging opportunities and threats.

To succeed in this position, you demonstrate:

• Proven experience in a Senior HR leadership role, evidenced by guiding others through project delivery and your strategic approach to problem solving.
• Well-developed strategic stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding and sourcing role, and the development of cost effective strategy and procedure based on business strategic workforce planning needs.
• The ability to lead transformation and change, and drive business improvement with measurable results.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, and ability to manage outsourced vendor relationships.
• The ability to champion change and drive achievement through the fostering of innovation and seeing initiatives through to a successful conclusion.
