The Role

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant who will deliver efficient and quality accounts support to join our Finance Team located in Roselands 2196.

Duties:

Reporting directly to a supportive Senior Financial Accountant, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career. Ideally, you will commence as an Assistant Accountant, and as you develop your skillset, evolve into a General Accountant. Key responsibilities will include, but will not be restricted to:

• Entering invoices and processing payments
• Maintaining supplier records
• Expense analysis and reporting
• Assisting with month end process
• General ledger maintenance
• Preparation and processing of adjusting journals
• Accounts Payable function for non-stock items
• Maintaining and developing relationships with BDM’s and Store Managers
• Assisting the CFO & SFA with adhoc duties

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience as an Assistant Accountant
• Must have excellent English communication skills to communicate with different stakeholders in the business
• Strong eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent computer literacy in Excel
• Able to take on challenging duties as well as routine tasks
• Must possess strong working knowledge of accounting principles

Salary: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
