About the role

The Operations and Projects Manager role is to optimise the safe operational performance of the various modes of transport to and parking at Sydney Airport to drive passenger experience and to optimise revenues. The position will work collaboratively with Facilities Management, Safety, Risk and Compliance and Project Management teams to ensure the efficient and safe operations of the car parks.

We are recruiting this as a 12-month contract.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to

• Establish operational resilience in landside transport in co-ordination with the Airport Operations team.
• Identify operational opportunities that enhance the efficiency and ease of moving people and vehicles through the landside precinct and drive incremental revenues
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to optimise the use of available infrastructure assets and resources to maximise the customer experience
• Effectively manage associated contracts.
• Implementation and ongoing operations of newly developed products, services and processes to grow portfolio revenues
• Work collaboratively with Facilities Management, Safety, Risk and Compliance and Project Management teams to ensure the efficient and safe operations of the car parks. Compliance and formulation of SOP’s
• Conduct monthly and quarterly risk, safety and compliance audits
• Identify business enhancement opportunities through enhancing existing operator performance, recommendation of new opportunities or implementation of continuous improvement to processes and procedures.

Your background should include

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Extensive experience in operational and SLA contract management
• Previous experience working in a complex, operational environment and collaborating with multiple and diverse stakeholders to drive success
• Project management experience as a subject matter expert and lead
• Proven ability to develop excellent business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and work within a multi-disciplined team environment
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems using data
• Understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices
