Swinburne University of Technology Hiring for Software Engineers (Applications) and Software Engineer (Integration) Job at Melbourne Full Time

Swinburne is embarking on an exciting journey, working towards our new vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world. Our Application and Integration Development teams both focus on building and supporting systems that underpin business processes, integrating these systems to provide data between the many applications used by the University. Currently we are seeking two Applications Software Engineers at both full-time and part-time (0.6), and an Integration Software Engineer at full-time.

As the Software Engineer – Application, you will develop, maintain and improve Swinburne’s custom, in-house applications, building to provided designs and implementing standardised services. The Software Engineer – Integration, will developing and maintain Swinburne’s Service Oriented Architecture, supporting the transfer of data, system integrations, and designing and implementing standardised services and integration processes.

All Software Engineers will assist with 3rd level support as required and analyse complex systems issues, working them through to the successful implementation of a solution. This may be through vendor liaison or programming solutions.

About you
To be suitable for the role, you will have:

• Relevant degree or qualification

• Relevant experience working on complex projects building Java based apps (including Spring, Hibernate) software solutions

• Sound knowledge of relational databases and SQL

• Solid technical experience in solution design, development and testing.
