NICA is seeking a dynamic individual to assist in the role of Senior Educator – Academic for a 7 month period (parental leave contract) commencing Monday 23 January 2023. Expressions of Interest are being sought from individuals who believe they have the skills and vison to lead and work collaboratively within a team of education professionals.

The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is one of the world’s leading training and education institutions in circus arts. Over the years, it has produced many national and international circus artists who now actively perform and are employed by major Circus and Physical Theatre companies around the world. NICA’s primary objective is to provide the best educational programs in circus arts for young and emerging artists.

The position of Senior Educator – Academic is accountable to the NICA Director. This position is primarily responsible for:

• Implementing industry best practice and apply current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies
• Leading and working collaboratively within a team of educational professionals
• Work collaboratively with the academic team on the development of high-quality programs, delivery and assessment strategies, with excellent student outcomes within the team environment
• Ensuring the quality and compliance of high-quality education and training programs across the VE and HE sectors.
• Work collaboratively with the academic team to customise and adapt programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs that vary from certificate level through to the bachelor’s degree
