Swinburne University of Technology Hiring for PAVE Teacher (Mental Health) Job at Melbourne Full Time

Swinburne is embarking on an exciting journey, working towards our new vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world. We are seeking VE Teachers in Mental Health to inspire, engage and educate our students for the 21st century, through implementing industry best practice and applying current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies.

In this role, you will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals. Within this team environment, you will plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high quality education and training programs. This role requires our teachers to be able to customise and adapt our programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs that vary from certificate level through to diploma and associate degree levels.

Our mental health programs are run at Swinburne’s Wantirna, Croydon and Hawthorn campuses. As such, you may be required to undertake duties at any of Swinburne’s campuses and may be required to travel between campuses and work at a range of locations.

About you

To be suitable for the role you will have:

• Relevant degree or vocational qualification in areas applicable to Mental Health programs including evidence of currency or related field
• Demonstrated excellence or capacity to implement high quality, innovative approaches in teaching and assessment, using a variety of learning modes, which respond to diverse student learning needs.
• Demonstrated experience or the capacity to develop and conduct training programs directed to the needs of industry and the community.
• A valid working with children’s check (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement)
