Swinburne University of Technology Hiring for Indigenous Student Administrator-VET Group Job at Melbourne Full Time

In this highly rewarding role, you will be part of our Indigenous Student Services team in the Moondani Toombadool Centre and will be responsible for the administration of student services to students who identify as Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples in Vocational Education and Training (VET) Group and have enrolled in our VET programs.

Reporting to the Manager Indigenous Student Services, you will be expected to handle a range of activities to assist Indigenous students to access and participate in Vocational Education and Training opportunities, whilst providing quality customer service to contribute to the retention and positive graduate outcomes. In addition, you will respond to general queries about referrals to relevant support services (where required) for Indigenous VET Group students.

As the Indigenous Student Administrator – VET Group will contribute to the University’s Reconciliation Action Plan and participate in activities (as directed) to ensure the Indigenous Student Services team in the Moondani Toombadool Centre achieve its vision and deliver the 2025 Strategic Plan.

• Well-developed oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage with a diverse client and stakeholder group.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills in managing enquiries, utilising problem-solving skills to provide information, advice and quality outcomes as a basis for service delivery.
• It is a genuine occupational requirement that the incumbent must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as authorised under the Equal Opportunity Act 2010
• A valid working with children’s check card (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement)
