Swinburne College is a joint venture between Swinburne University and UP Education (UP) which delivers foundation and pathway programs for international and domestic students. We are seeking a transformative leader to take on the role of General Manager & Dean and help shape Swinburne College as a truly responsive, deliberate and evidence-based organisation. The General Manager and Dean will develop and lead the College’s strategy and priorities as agreed with the Board and will direct and implement policies, procedures, frameworks and programs to deliver the agreed budget and commercial outcomes.
The General Manager and Dean will work in partnership across several teams within Swinburne University and UP Education more broadly. The General Manager and Dean formally reports through to the Swinburne College Board of Directors, however operationally, works with the Swinburne University PVC Global Engagement and the UP Education CEO, University Partnerships and Australia as required to meet the quality, compliance and commercial imperatives of Swinburne College.

In 2020 Swinburne University and UP Education established a joint venture partnership to form Swinburne College which delivers foundation and pathway programs for international and domestic students. These programs (Foundation Year, UniLink diplomas and ELICOS), assist students to reach the entry requirements for a university degree, transition from post-secondary to higher education or improve English language skills.
