Due to an internal move we are seeking outstanding professionals to take on the position of Finance Business Partners, acting as trusted advisors and providing valuable analysis and insights to drive and influence the decision-making process for business change, and driving continuous improvement.

In this role you will also:

• partner with Senior Managers and their team to help drive business performance and enhance the quality of financial and commercial decisions within the assigned portfolio;
• influence and develop financial plans, advising on future direction and investment choices;
• provide coaching and training to improve financial confidence and competence across layers of management within the portfolio;
• promote good financial and risk management disciplines; and
• ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards and the University’s policies and procedures.

About you
To be suitable for the role you will possess:

• An undergraduate degree with a major in accounting or similar discipline, with subsequent relevant experience
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CAANZ) or Certified Practicing Accountant Australia (CPA)
• Strong communication skills, in particular in explaining financial concepts to non-financial senior stakeholders
• Significant experience in financial management and related activities, preferably in a large and complex organization
• Strong knowledge and experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, delivering consistently accurate and clear information
• Demonstrated solid analytical acumen and the ability to interpret financial data and provide solutions to a range of commercial issues.
