Sweet E’s Bake Shop Hiring for Marketing Assistant & Social Media Content Creator Full Time

Sweet E’s Bake Shop is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Jr. Marketing Assistant with an emphasis on Content Creation who will support the CEO in day-to-day creative activities, as well as manage the brand’s social media accounts, including creating original content. This highly motivated individual feels comfortable being a hands-on assistant, supporting both immediate and long-term projects while simultaneously managing the brand’s Instagram and Facebook. You should enjoy photography and video editing and be on the cutting edge of social media strategy and trends.

Your Top Priorities in this Role:

40% of your time will be spent on social media content creation in the bakery alongside our bakery staff and under the direction of the CEO

40% of your time will be spent directly assisting the CEO, Erica, on misc. marketing and creative projects, including assisting with planning, executing and managing photoshoots for our website and social media

20% of your time will be spent on general marketing support with a focus on social media, graphic design and asset management (specifically photo content organization and video content)

Your Skillset Should Emphasize:

Video content creation, Reels editing, and overall video and still photography content for Instagram and Facebook. You’re a whiz at video editing on your phone and in tools like CapCut.

Beginner or intermediate skills in graphic design (Photoshop, Canva, InDesign) with a willingness to build this skillset as the projects demand. If you don’t already have a strong skillset in graphic design, you maintain an urgent desire to learn this and feel comfortable expanding your skillset

A passion for social media, pop culture trends, and celebrities driven by a marketing mindset

Creativity in both vision and execution. You know how to make things look good and understand how design and merchandising factor into the look and feel of a company and brand. You have a modern, clean, feminine aesthetic that marries well with the Sweet E’s brand. And you’re not afraid of the color pink! 🙂

You have a bachelor’s degree and/or work experience in a business or startup atmosphere so you understand deadlines, deliverables and how to work with a dynamic, fast-moving team

Accountability is your middle name. You write down notes to ensure you don’t forget key details, and always follow through

Starting salary for this full-time position: $45K – $50K / year. Applicants must be based in Los Angeles. The role will require you to be both on-location in the bakery, in the CEO’s home office, and remote/work-from-home.
