Our Clinical Nurse Coordinators provide leadership through the collaboration of the Director/Designee through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patients. Here is some of what you can expect from being a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Medical Oncology with us:
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator on the Oncology Unit you will be part of the Sarah Canon Institute. Where we have leading pathways and research in cancer care. You will be joining a team of professionals who will treat you like family and who are dedicated to delivering excellent care to cancer patients. You will be on a dynamic in-patient cancer unit that provides care for patient with blood cancer, solid tumors, head/neck surgeries and hematology disorders. You will enable patients to reach their goals through care specifically designed to cater to individual patient needs and work with highly skilled and trained providers from Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Blue Mountain Cancer Care Center, and Rocky Mountain GYN Oncology. We are growing our cancer program at Swedish Medical Center to include a new cancer pavilion and a new 30 bed in-patient unit. This growth will support a new blood cancer program and volume growth of the existing lung cancer program, pancreatic cancer program and head/neck surgeries.

Swedish Medical Center, part of HCA’s HealthONE, is located in the south metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 110 years. An acute care hospital with 408 licensed beds, annually Swedish cares for more than 200,000 patients with a team of approximately 2,000 dedicated employees, 300 volunteers and 1,400 physicians.
With stroke door to treatment times averaging just 20 minutes, Swedish serves as the Rocky Mountain Region’s referral center for the most advanced stroke treatment, and was the state’s first Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Swedish also serves as the region’s neurotrauma and orthopedic trauma provider and is the area’s only level I trauma facility with a dedicated burn and reconstructive center. Over 150 facilities regularly transfer highly complex cases to Swedish.
