Sutton Transport is seeking an experienced, energetic, driven and results-oriented Staff Accountant to prepare financial statements, ad hoc reporting, and reconcile major accounts. Your work will be utilized by leadership for the company’s decision-making process.

Qualified candidates will be good at math and be able to communicate effectively with senior management and various departments. We also require that you be detail orientated, possess moderate Excel knowledge, and find yourself willing to learn. Strong business acumen is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

– Gather financial data and ledgers

– Analyze financial statements and results

– Complete month end process

– Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization

– Create and manage daily ad hoc reporting

– Reconcile bank statements and verify deposit transactions

– Reconcile balance sheet accounts

– Manage accrual and prepaid processes

– Review accounts payable transactions

Requirements

– Excellent communication skills

– Self-starter

– Knowledge of accounting regulations, practices, and GAAP

– Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel

– Keen eye for detail

– An analytical mind with the ability to efficiently problem solve

– Experience with Quick Books a plus

– Must have organizational and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
