Summary: The Process Development Engineer is responsible for designing and developing processes to optimize process flow, reduce variability within the process, improve operating capabilities, and help ensure workers’ safety. Their main objective is to identify, develop, verify, and validate processes from their early developmental stage. Timely s and presentations will also be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include:
· Prepares work to be estimated by gathering RFQ’s, blueprints, specifications and related documents, to establish if the part is viable
· Identify labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents
· Review viable opportunities for outside process and communicate those to the Sales Manager
· Keep a log of incoming positive opportunities
· Highlight prints for cycle time estimates
· Develop cycle time estimates for best process utilizing current and/or new equipment
· Work with outside sources for possible turnkey quotes
· Review and update cycle time estimates for revision changes
· Maintain library of tooling, inspection, and equipment costs
· Maintain company’s equipment list for all plants
· Working at a computer, using CAD systems such as Solidwork and process control equipment and machinery
Work Experience/Requirements:
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering and 2 to 5 years of relevant experience working in a CNC Manufacturing Environment
· Experience in Production or Quality Manager environment
· Experience working with CAD modeling programs
· Understanding of Good Manufacturing Processes including speeds and feeds
· Excellent Analytical skills
· Proficient with production drawings and specifications is required
· Solid PC skills- in standard office suite products
· Well-developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to work effectively with other departments and with multiple levels of management.
· Ability to organize and prioritize duties with impeccable attention to detail.
· The position requires a quality focused attitude with an appropriate sense of urgency.
