The Sussan Group comprises three iconic Australian brands Sussan, Sportsgirl and Suzanne Grae and operates 460 stores across Australia and online globally.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join us at our Head Office based in Cremorne.

Reporting directly to our Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate management of all lease payments and liabilities. As part of the wider finance team, you will also have a close relationship with the Property Leasing team, leading process optimisation activities in the leasing space.

Your strong analytical background coupled with high attention to detail and commercial acumen will support your success in this role. Dealing with key internal and external stakeholders, you will be a strong communicator and enjoy building relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Management and preparation of monthly prepayments, premises rent, percentage rent accrual journals and other month end activities
• Month end and reconciliations
• Complete store level financial analysis
• Review & maintain detailed store level reconciliation to account for rent paid, abatements, outgoings, and any other adjustments.
• Review rental, percentage rentals, outgoings, electricity, and other payments
• Manage and account for COVID and other rental abatements and adjustments.
• Team supervision and development

The successful candidate must have:

• Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or Commerce
• CA or CPA qualified or working towards CA or CPA qualification (preferred)
• Previous experience in similar or related analytical role
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Experience reconciling large data sets
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in retail or property industry desirable
• Experience in NetSuite desirable
