SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates food service activities of hospital or nursing home by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises all employees in the Dietary Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning , assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current Driver’s License. Dietary Manager’s Certificate of Completion.
