About the role
We are seeking two experienced HR professionals to join our dynamic and supportive Human Resources team where you will provide high level of guidance, support and advice to all levels of the organisation in managing their human resource needs. These roles will partner with the broader leadership team and take direction from the People & Culture (P&C) strategy to identify and implement solutions across a range of HR generalist functions including talent acquisition and managing end-to-end recruitment, developing networks and building relationships within the organisation, providing guidance and advice on employee relations and performance management.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partner with department leaders and managers to build effective relationships, sound knowledge of HR services, processes and resourcing requirements.
• Provide coaching and guidance to enhance people leader capability to engage, motivate, support and coach employees for high performance, improve retention and to positively influence behavioural and culture change.
• Provide high level advice, training and support on a broad range of complex HR issues and practices, offering solutions in line with the Council’s priorities and policies, legislation, and industrial awards.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with leaders in the business to identify and respond to trends, people / performance hotspots and emerging business issues and needs and identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the business to build capability in the area of people management culture and engagement.
• Support the end-to-end employment lifecycle from recruitment and talent acquisition to end of employment.

• Have input into Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant, contemporary, easy to navigate, and in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience with a focus on service excellence, responsiveness, quality consistent advice, and attention to detail.
• Contribute to or lead projects and initiatives under the People & Culture strategy, and as otherwise required, and work collaboratively with the People Culture team.

About you
Our ideal candidates will have a relevant qualification in HR or experience in a role, be a strong all-rounder people focused HR generalist and have a passion for talent acquisition along with a customer-first mindset and flexible approach where you enjoy the challenges of an operational role.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in Human Resources and/or experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in a HR Generalist role.
• Experience in leading end to end recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
• Able to build collaborative relationships across diverse business units and leaders.
• Ability to coach and influence leaders in confidential environments.
