We have multiple exciting opportunities to join our Customer Experience Team. Our Customer Experience Team exist to help support and assist our community by providing courteous, efficient and professional customer service across a range of platforms. Our Customer Experience Team are renowned for their in-depth knowledge of council services, and ability to provide customers with a memorable and genuine customer experience.

We have multiple roles across both our Customer Service and Customer Request teams. We are searching for passionate people who want to make a difference by supporting our growing community.

About the Roles

Position A – Customer Request Officer – Permanent Part Time – 24 hours per week
3 days per week – Monday, Wednesday & Thursday. 8:15am – 5:00pm

Position B – Customer Service Officer – Permanent Part Time – 24 hours per week
3 days per week – Monday, Tuesday and Friday
Successful applicant will work a minimum of 24 hours per week but will need to be available to cover additional hours as required by the team over the rest of the working week

Position C – Customer Service Officer – Permanent Part Time – 32 hours per week
4 days per week. Successful applicant will work across both Customer Service and Customer Request teams.

Customer Request Officer Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum three years demonstrated experience within a customer service environment
• Experience in the performance of high quality administration.
• Proficient in the use and operation the Microsoft Office suites and all office equipment.
• A strong cultural fit with the Surf Coast Shire Council’s Purpose, Direction and Approach.

Customer Service Mandatory Requirements (Skills & Experience)

• Minimum three years demonstrated experience within a customer service/contact centre environment.
• Experience within a complex customer service environment, including use of computerised cash receipting systems and cash handling.
• Demonstrated ability to utilise a number of Windows based software packages including Microsoft Office.
• A strong cultural fit with the Surf Coast Shire Council’s Purpose, Direction and Approach.

• Have a right to work in Australia
• A current WWCC.
• Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
