SureSite Consulting Group, LLC was founded in 1999 to provide site development and deployment services to the wireless telecommunications industry. We launched SureSite as an affiliate organization of a commercial real estate company to provide real estate acquisition, zoning, engineering and construction solutions based on project management and quality results.
The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge of accounting best practices and be experienced in applying those skills to improving processes and day to day operations. ?This is a hands-on role that requires independent thinking and self-motivation. The preferred candidate should come from a professional services background and fully understand the principles of project cost accounting and percentage completion revenue recognition.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and is responsible for assisting with the direction of the company’s financial and administrative organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high growth company and be entrepreneurial in spirit.
Responsibilities:

• Managing company’s Project Accountants including technical accuracy and professional development.
• Working with operational departmental Directors to assist in Revenue Forecasting
• Managing monthly invoicing process by providing guidance and assistance to the Project Accountants
• Ensuring all amounts (both time and expenses and fixed amounts) invoiced to customers adhere to contractual requirements outlined in Customer contracts.
• Managing the collection of outstanding amounts from customers
• Providing weekly updates on the status of accounts
• Reviewing project setups to ensure terms and rates are compliant with the various customer agreements
• Administration of the time and expenses software including setting up/terminating users
• Managing the process of recording expenses
• Administer Sales and Use Tax filings
• Administering the Company’s Corporate Credit Card program
• Supervising firm’s Vendor Management Program
• Become company’s SuperUser for ERP program. Manage software upgrades, resolve technical problems with software company and consultants, and develop training and resources for employees.

Financial Reporting:

• Reconciling all balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness, validity, and accuracy of data
• Producing and ensuring accuracy of monthly Contract Receivables (Work in Process) schedules
• Performing analysis on balance sheet and income statements and providing explanations on variances from budgets/forecasts and prior months/years
• Monthly analysis of revenue as well as future backlog of services to be performed along with other non-financial key performance indicators
• Reviewing the classification of revenue and expenses between various departments to assess departmental profitability

Year-End:

• Ensuring all entries have been completed and all GL accounts are reconciled
• Support Controller in providing information, clarification and supporting documentation to external auditors when requested in a timely manner

. Requirements: Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 5-8 years of accounting experience, Public Accounting or Construction Industry experience a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with various ERP software (experience with Deltek an asset but not required)
• Flexibility with working hours and able to stay organized during peak periods of activity
• Experience supervising a team of 2 -4 staff members.
• Experience working within a small-medium sized company with a lean team. The ability to multi-task is considered an asset.
