Quality Assurance Manager

SureShot Solutions® is a vertically integrated company that designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets dispensers for beverages and beverage enhancers. The company is looking for a committed quality professional who can make a meaningful contribution as QA Manager to the continued growth of a true Nova Scotian success story.

Accountabilities

Reporting to the VP Engineering and Manufacturing and leading a team of three QA Inspectors, this role is a key driver of quality initiatives and the constant quest for continuous improvement within the organization.

Primary accountabilities

• The advancement, maintenance and oversight of the Quality System
• The outgoing quality levels of the production process (AOQL)
• Vendor qualification and supplier audits as required
• Internal Audits
• The adoption, maintenance and calibration of quality measurement tools
• Cross functional collaboration with colleagues to identify root causes and facilitation of preventive and corrective actions
• Ongoing and future regulatory compliance for newly approved and/or legacy equipment

Qualifications and Attributes

The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications and personal attributes to the role:

Quality Assurance knowledge & experience

· Extensive experience with the design, creation and maintenance of an ISO 9001-2015 Quality System.

· Solid understanding of contemporary Quality Assurance principles, systems and tools.

· Understanding of manufacturing processes from raw material input to finished goods shipping and the appropriate and effective integration of QA System elements.

· Experience working in an export oriented environment with a global scope

Effective team leader

· Proven ability to lead and manage team members in the achievement of targets and the adherence to standards

· Strong communication skills including active listening and clear messaging

· Builds strong relationships with co-workers based on trust and accountability

· Motivates team members in the pursuit of continuous improvement

· Deals with all stakeholders including colleagues, customers and suppliers with integrity and respect

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
