About the role:

Are you an experienced teacher looking for your next challenge or a passionate ECT looking to work in a supportive positive environment. Then this role is for you. A Primary school in the Derby area are looking to cover a teacher who is just about to go on maternity. This role is for a foundation 2 class and you must have strong knowledge of the current foundation framework. The class is a cohort of 32 and have had a very stable and productive year so far. You will work alongside another foundation teacher and you must exhibit excellent levels of team work.

About the school

The school is a two form entry primary school with a fantastic reputation. The Head teacher is very passionate about ensuring all staff are fully supported by herself and SLT. The school really love to inspire the children by creating fun and imaginative lessons to help the children engage more in their learning. The school is very welcoming to new staff and a full induction and handover will be given.

Experience needed

The school is very happy to except applicants from a variety of different experience levels and are open to taking on an ECT in this role. You must have excellent behaviour management skills and fantastic foundation 2 curriculum knowledge is a must

Interview process

Step 1

Interview with a dedicated consultant to talk through the role.

Step 2

Have meeting with the school Head Teacher and Key stage lead to talk through expectations and responsibilities. Including a walk around school.

Step 3

Trial day working with a foundation 2 class in the morning only for a one class session. This lesson can be a lesson of your choice. Followed by an interview with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher.
