Who we’re looking for?
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Assistant to join our commercial finance team at Superunion. The role will have day to day responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing/billing and will provide extensive support to the Commercial Business Partners.
The hire will report into a Commercial Business Partner and will be part of a commercial finance team of seven (and a wider finance team of thirteen). The role will be based at WPP’s new campus building at Rose Court, Southwark and will benefit from Superunion’s flexible working policy meaning working from home is accepted where appropriate.
The role would be ideal for an individual who is starting to study for an accountancy exam, such as CIMA or ACCA. The employee will learn to operate Financial and Commercial systems and will need to be skilled in Microsoft Excel.

Main responsibilities

• Timely and accurate billing of clients
• Creation of client reconciliations that are of suitable quality for sharing with external clients and the client service team
• Supporting the commercial finance team with month end revenue reporting
• Working with the Commercial Business Partner to support in the management of a number of client accounts. Including WIP Management and monthly Purchase Order reviews
• Intercompany invoicing and uploading into client portals such as Adquira, Tesco and Nespresso
• Support the Commercial Business Partners during SOX and client audits
• Update the monthly timetable for the team and ensuring all revenue sheets are signed and compliant for SOX
• Monitor trade working capital and help to maintain its level within WPP targets
• Establish a strong knowledge in all our reporting systems including but not limited to Maconomy, Workbook and Cartesis
• Closure and management of completed jobs and ensuring the zero bills are processed monthly
• Debtor chasing (including intercompany) and building strong links with our shared service centre, Finance Plus
• Provide ad hoc general support and analysis to the finance function
