Responsibilities:

– Contact consumers and businesses with outstanding debts through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence.

– Persuasively and professionally negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or payment arrangements.

– Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities and customer interactions.

– Utilize various tools and strategies to locate and contact debtors.

– Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns regarding debt repayment.

– Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other industry-specific guidelines.

– Work closely with team members and supervisors to achieve collection targets and meet performance metrics.

– Continuously stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

– High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or relevant certifications is a plus).

– Proven experience in debt collection or a related field, with a strong track record of meeting targets and achieving results.

– Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills.

– Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

– Ability to handle difficult conversations and maintain professionalism under pressure.

– Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

– Proficient in using debt collection software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

– Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices.

– Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

– Prior knowledge of or experience in the financial industry is preferred.

– Be able to schedule personal needs before work, after work, during breaks and lunches.

– Work at your assigned space for an entire 8 hour scheduled shift by either sitting or standing.

– Attendance or punctuality issues in the initial 30 days of employment may require you to reapply for the position.
