• Hours: 37.5 (Monday – Friday 0900-1700)
• Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Established in 2006, Superior Healthcare Group is one of Kent’s largest private complex care providers. We specialise in spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury and one to one complex care. We employ around 600 employees, mainly across Kent, with rapidly growing teams across our new operational regions in Essex, Sussex and Hampshire.

About the role

Due to the continuous growth of our business, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a finance manager to join us on a permanent contract. Reporting directly to and supporting the company’s Head of Finance, you will be responsible for developing our established finance function and challenging and developing our systems to produce increasingly accurate and timely management accounts and key information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing and managing a small finance team and deputising for the Head of Finance as and when required.
• Preparing management accounts for a small group of companies.
• Developing and monitoring KPIs, maintaining a keen eye for detail and communicating to influence the leadership team.
• Assisting in preparation of forecasts and providing information to drive decision making.
• Gaining a detailed understanding of and developing existing processes and controls related to all aspects of the finance function.
• Leading on the advancement of our core finance systems including Sage Accounts and Payroll.
• Being the “go to” person to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• CIMA/ACCA qualified or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A proven track record of managing, supporting and inspiring people.
• Prior experience of managing busy finance function within a medium size enterprise (T/O £10-20M).
• Good working knowledge of finance systems including Sage Accounts and Payroll.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Previous healthcare industry accounting experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
