Super Store Industries Hiring for Production Worker – Packaging Operator – pm – am at Turlock, CA Full Time

Job Summary

Performs a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of production processes in support of production workers and responsible for day to day operations associated with the production lines. Perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following SSIs policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• • Perform the necessary job duties in accordance with product specifications that allows efficient processing.
  • Replenish production supplies like bags, labels, and boxes.
  • Prepare raw material for processing
  • Monitor packaging and filling operations to ensure quality and conformity.
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
  • Weigh out raw materials and add to mixers
  • Operate processing equipment safely and efficiently and using safety equipment as required.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members
  • These positions will cross-train on other jobs to enable a cross functional coverage environment.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that pertain to your area
  • Follow established safety procedures and work safely at all times.
  • Has a responsibility to support and assist in the execution of the Food Safety and Quality Systems.

Competencies

• Interact with Production Supervisors, and other production personnel as required.
• 1 year Minimum in production
• Working knowledge of dairy process operations, materials and ingredients

Required Education and Experience

• H.S. diploma
• A.A. or B.A desirable
• 2 years related experience

Work Environment

• This job operates in a manufacturing setting.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the production department.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA standards.

Physical Demands

• Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and walk as needed on the manufacturing floor and warehouse. They must be able to work in a manufacturing factory & various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. Must wear personal protective equipment as defined/required by job assignments.
