as the skills they need to succeed in their education in the primary grades.

We are looking for experienced Early Childhood Teachers and Lead Teachers for our expanding program within this amazing team. The ideal candidate will be teacher or lead teacher certified in their preferred age group and have experience with curriculum and assessment. Certified candidates should be comfortable both working alone and with a co-educator.

In certain circumstances we are able to accommodate 30 hour schedules either AM or PM shifts. For 40 hour positions, open availability is a plus.

Teacher Job Description

1) Arrives on time and ready for scheduled shift.

2) Abides by the philosophy and policies of The Center and follows the daily schedule.

3) Plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum under the direction of the Lead Teacher or Program Manager covering the areas of cognitive, social/emotional, gross and fine motor, language, and artistic development.

4) Is responsible for following the diapering/pottying procedure.

5) Takes and records accurate attendance.

6) Records Infant and Toddler daily schedules when assigned to that age group.

7) Maintains stocked supplies in the classroom. Makes written request to the Director when supplies are low.

8) Delegates to the classroom Assistant appropriately as needed (when applicable). Is responsible for ensuring that classroom maintenance is completed. This includes but not limited to: helping children with diaper changes, pottying, cleaning up accidents, etc., sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, mouthed toys, etc., completing tasks required for opening or shutting down classrooms, setting up snacks/meals, setting up cribs/cots/mats, preparing art/sensory activities, and tidying the classroom.

9) Completes periodic child assessments as required.

10) Follows the Program Manager/Keyholder’s direction in the absence of the Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
