Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting
applications for a Coordinator for Prevention Education. The person
in this role will be responsible for day-to-day activities and
organization of the campus community across a variety of prevention
education topic areas. This is includes, but not limited to,
Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health Promotion, Sexual Health
Promotion, Sexual Assault Prevention, etc. The interim coordinator
will also be responsible for helping the Associate Director with
gender equity and LGBTQIA+ student support programming. The
coordinator, in conjunction with the Associate Director, will be
responsible for assessment, capacity building, planning,
implementing, and evaluating activities associated with prevention
priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Women and
  Gender Studies, Social Work, Public Administration, and/or a
  related field.
• At least two years of experience with health related education
  (graduate assistantship work is eligible).
• Proven ability to work independently, excellent organization
  skills, and excellent interpersonal communication
  skills.
• Knowledge of Student Development Theory, Public Health Theory,
  Feminist, Queer, Critical and/or other related theoretical
  frameworks essential to Prevention and Outreach Services’ mission
  and goals.
• Familiarity and comforting with reporting outcomes in web-based
  systems, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
• Experience working with diverse populations (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+,
  students with disabilities, international students,
  graduate/non-traditional students, etc.)

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Women and
  Gender Studies, College Student Personal/Student Affairs, Social
  Work, Public Administration, and/or a related field.
• Training in motivational interviewing.
• Social media and/or marketing experience.
  Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5PM
  
  Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $50,148.
