A Life Enrichment Assistant works in the memory care neighborhood within our assisted living community. The core responsibilities of this role are to assess resident abilities and interests. Design programs customized to each resident’s interests, skill set and needs to create purpose and provide meaningful moments. Must recognize and be able to adapt leisure and recreational programs to match resident abilities. Understanding of dementia, experience working with seniors or individuals with special needs is a plus. Ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, empathy, creativity, effective time management, serving leadership and willingness to work as a supportive team member. This is an ideal role for someone with special education, special recreation, social work or activity programming. The hours for this role are generally 9AM – 5PM and ability to rotate weekends.
