JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day functions related to cash receipts and cash payments in our Pender, NE office. Duties also include clerical work, and simple account reconciliations.

LOCATION:

This position is located in Pender, Nebraska.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounts Payable transactions
• Preparing daily bank reconciliations
• Preparing check runs
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Reconciling expense reports
• Receipting payments received
• Performing routine accounting activities
• Data entry
• General reception duties including customer service/answering phones/couriers/mail/faxing/scanning/etc.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Detail-oriented and comfortable with competing priorities
• Enjoys work that can be sometimes repetitive
• Looks for opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy by standardizing procedures
• Exceptionally well organized
• Broad understanding of standard accounting principles
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year previous accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Software considered an asset

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Flexible work hours at times due to time zone differences.
