JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day functions related to cash receipts and cash payments in our Pender, NE office. Duties also include clerical work, and simple account reconciliations.

LOCATION:

This position is located in Pender, Nebraska.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Accounts Payable transactions

· Preparing daily bank reconciliations

· Preparing check runs

· Reconciling credit card statements

· Reconciling expense reports

· Receipting payments received

· Performing routine accounting activities

· Data entry

· General reception duties including customer service/answering phones/couriers/mail/faxing/scanning/etc.

· Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Detail-oriented and comfortable with competing priorities

· Enjoys work that can be sometimes repetitive

· Looks for opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy by standardizing procedures

· Exceptionally well organized

· Broad understanding of standard accounting principles

· Excellent time management skills

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· 1 year previous accounting experience

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Software considered an asset

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Flexible work hours at times due to time zone differences.
