SUMMARY: Senior Finance professional who will be the finance leader for our key manufacturing facility in Midlothian, TX. Position reports in to the Plant GM with oversight of the Group CFO.

The ideal candidate will be extremely hands on, able to integrate into the existing environment, interact with other senior leaders, and provide financial leadership.

The position will oversee all financial functionality for the operation, including the following:

• Financial and KPI reporting to management

• Creation and monthly monitoring of financial forecasts

• Management of Cost Accounting, A/P, and A/R functions

• Management of staff, including a Cost Accountant, factory accounting team

• Assist in growing the business in accordance with company’s strategy and guidelines

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

• Manages and train subordinates in carrying out their assigned duties and responsibilities.

• Reviews and audits Accounts Payable vouchers for payment.

• Prepares monthly and quarterly sales/use tax payments.

• Maintains General Ledger and analyzes cost variances and financial statements in accordance to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Analyzes and reconciles monthly selected balance sheet accounts.

• Creates and loads monthly files into local Hyperion/Oracle.

• Checks and adjusts Hyperion financial data to conform with the General Ledger.

• Extracts and transmits Hyperion financial data through e-mail to International Accounting for consolidation.

• Prepares management reports quarterly on the result of operations and explains significant P&L accounts’ variances – actual versus budget – through Hyperion and submits them to International Accounting.

• Interfaces frequently with production personnel, supervisors, managers regarding company’s operations.

• Communicates with affiliates’ financial controllers and accounting managers concerning international account balances and reconciliation of accounts.

• Administers and coordinates the preparation of business plans/annual budget/forecast.

• Coordinates annual internal/external audits.

• Continuously monitors and reviews the accuracy of inventory valuation and costing.

• Cash management (forecasts cash flow and monitors fund movement).

• Provides adequate internal control to safeguard the assets of the company.

• Develops methods, policies, and procedures to promote operational efficiency.

• Evaluates constantly the systems and procedures of how they are being implemented and makes amendments whenever necessary.

• Coordinates the auditing and testing of counts during physical inventory.

• Prepares reports required by state and government agencies.

• Prepares monthly department variance reports and distributes them.

• Applies affiliates wire transfers to receivable accounts.

• Prepares monthly accounts receivable’s aging report and old receivable reports.

• Keeps track of capital spending.

• Prepares monthly, quarterly financial statements.

• Attends to other matters which the CFO may assign from time to time.

• Oversee bi-weekly payrolls.

• Tracks and coordinates Continuous Improvement at the plant.

• Analyze costing and transfer prices.

• Assist with International Operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly manages employees in the Accounting Department and Cost Accountant. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Require Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting from four-year college or university and eight plus years related manufacturing experience. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $154,000.00 – $177,000.00 per year
