In addition, the Suncorp Group recently announced it has signed a share sale purchase agreement to sell Suncorp Bank to ANZ. The sale completion agreement is subject to legislative and regulatory approvals with a targeted completion timeframe of approximately 12 months. ANZ has indicated its intention to operate the bank under the Suncorp Bank brand pursuant to an initial five licencing agreement, to maintain the strong Suncorp Bank presence in Queensland. ANZ currently intends to run the Bank as a separate business for at least three years and invest further in people. This transaction will create additional career and development opportunities for Suncorp Banking graduates, with the potential access to a Major Bank as a division of ANZ.

What you’ll do

The Graduate Program is a chance for you to gain experience and build real connections within a corporate environment. Suncorp will facilitate your exposure to a range of different and dynamic teams and business areas, while you learn to apply the skills you developed at university in the real world. You’ll get the opportunity to work with senior business leaders and receive both structured and on-the-job training to help you decide where you’d like to grow and develop.

By the time the program wraps up, you’ll be equipped with a broad set of skills, in-depth knowledge of Suncorp and the ways we make a difference for our customers, as well as a clearer idea of how you’d like to chase your own ambitions.

Business Banking Graduate (Brisbane)

Suncorp’s Business Banking teams are relied on to provide foundation solutions and services to meet customer needs; their contribution plays a critical role in sustaining the success that puts our bank at the front and centre of the communities we are passionate to serve.

In Business Banking we service customers operating in the broad range of industries who require relationship sales and service from dedicated Business Bankers. Graduates typically rotate in teams across the value chain, such as Commercial Finance, Operations, Products and Projects.

Agribusiness Graduate (Regional QLD or NSW)

As an Agribusiness Banking Graduate, you will experience three eight-month rotations within different rural business areas in Regional QLD or NSW, with the opportunity to get involved across the value chain in Operations, Products and Projects. Farmers are the backbone of Australia, and they rely on the expertise and understanding of our dedicated Relationship Managers to help their businesses reach their full potential

To be eligible for the Suncorp 2023 Graduate Program you must have:

• Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship, or *hold valid working rights status prior to commencing, and for the duration of the two-year Graduate Program (*Accounting & Technology roles only)
• Partial or full completion of undergraduate level study with an Australian or New Zealand University (or equivalent Tertiary Institution) within the last 4 years (2019, 2020, 2021,2022), and have completed a minimum of undergraduate level study prior to the program commencing
• Minimum ‘pass’ grade
