Sunbelt-Solomon Solutions Hiring for Materials Manager at Decatur, TN Full Time

The Materials Manager will oversee plant level activities within Receiving, Shipping, Inventory, Yard, and Parts, including local purchasing, in accordance with company needs and customer requirements. This is a local position but may require up to 10% travel to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role.

This individual will out to the local Plant Manager routinely on inventory levels and ongoing efforts to improve performance.

This position will be based in Decatur, TN.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise parts room, receiving, shipping, local purchasing
• Supervise ALL material handling in yard and factory
• Execution to receiving and storage standards
• Execution to min/max requirements
• Yard Layout and 5S per lean principles
• Mobile equipment maintenance and replenishment
• Match units to orders
• Local lead for inventory count processes

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proficient with MSOffice applications
• Proficient knowledge of database entry and ing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff

Education and Experience

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with inventory management
• Excel and spreadsheet knowledge
