Public Relations Manager – Content Digital Media

The Public Relations Manager – Content Digital Media has a wide range of responsibilities related to providing communications services to our clients. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies related to the use of all forms of media and communications tactics to achieve positive results for our clients and drive the company’s growth.

The position requires the candidate to demonstrate successful experience with creating innovative ways to use digital, social and traditional media to solve our clients’ challenges and create opportunities for their growth.

Candidates with successful experience using graphic design tools and technologies to create both visual and audio storytelling solutions for client needs is a bonus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or more of experience in public relations, marketing and or communications.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in digital media and working with social as well as traditional media.
• Knowledge of the Connecticut landscape, its communities, its residents, and its print, digital and all forms of media.
• Strong written and editorial skills as well as the ability to communicate with a diverse audience and develop long-term positive relationships.
• Demonstrated initiative, creative problem solving and self-motivation skills necessary to achieve client and company goals.
• Ability to effectively juggle tasks, manage details, work in fast-paced pressure situations, and critical deadlines is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of digital, social and traditional media and be able to apply that knowledge both externally (clients) and internally (S&L Companies) to solve problems and add value.
• Manage our website including content, and provide recommendations for content on social platforms to both clients and team members in a manner that grows the S&L Companies’ digital, video and social media presence—including followers on LinkedIn and Twitter.
• Leverage design tools and skills to create vivid and impactful external (client) and internal (S&L Companies) communication materials as appropriate.
• Promote and expand SLPR’s expertise in public relations, communications and marketing by participation in appropriate business and professional organizations.
• Work as a team with company leadership to identify and develop new business opportunities based on our team’s strengths and results.
• Coordinate with the company’s Business Manager to ensure the team is making maximum use of its communications technology and tools.
• Employ strong written and verbal communications skills to present client stories, draft press releases, and develop content, collateral pieces, infographics, and other public relations materials.
• Secure media placements in a broad range of electronic, print, and digital media outlets.
• Manage a wide variety of other public relations and account management tasks as assigned.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
