JOB OVERVIEW

The University of Sheffield International College and its programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Sheffield. We are currently looking for an Accounting and Finance Tutor to join The University of Sheffield International College. This is fantastic opportunity to deliver student centred and innovative teaching to small groups of international students. You’ll be working in a diverse team that are proud of the advanced teaching practice that is delivered throughout the centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job, you will deliver our Accounting and Finance provision, teaching groups of international students across our Level 3 and/or Level 6 programmes. Our class sizes are on average between 18-20 students, and you will be given the autonomy to be innovative and engaging to enhance the learning experience. You will undertake marking and feedback provision on a formative and summative basis, and you will have the chance to support the development of the student’s independent learning.

EXPERIENCE

• A degree in Accounting and/or Finance. A PhD degree (or final year of PhD programme) in Accounting and/or Finance is required to teach on the pre-masters programmes.
• Teaching qualification (Desirable)
• Experience of teaching Accounting and/or Finance in UK Higher, Further Education or Sixth form (Essential)
• Experience of teaching Accounting and/or Finance at level 6 (Desirable)
• Assessment marking experience at a minimum of level 3 (Essential)
• Experience of working with international students (Desirable)
