About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in higher education, working in a student facing role which involves significant contact with students, academic and professional staff and will lead on supporting students showing any cause for concern. (Whilst this is a pastoral role, it is not a counselling position.)
The postholder will have an honours degree or equivalent experience, have experience of using electronic student record systems, developing policies and an ability to work with empathy and sensitivity. Substantial experience working within established regulations, supporting students with pastoral issues in a range of formats, and working within a confidential environment. The postholder will be quick learners, able to assimilate and retain information to be able to advise students on relevant policies and procedures.
About You
You will bring substantial experience in student support within Higher Education, with strong knowledge of sector regulations and student support standards. Highly numerate and analytically skilled, you are confident working with data to inform decisions. You will be an effective leader with excellent communication and influencing skills, able to manage diverse stakeholders and drive positive change. You will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, adept at solving complex problems, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, responsive environment.
