Systems Education Specialist

The Systems Education Specialist will assist and develop the design, build, and delivery of education programs and training to ensure successful onboarding, field learning, and continuous learning of clinical and non-clinical teams within Strive Health Care. Clinical teams variably consist of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dieticians, medical assistants, care coordinators, social workers, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and others. The education programs and training will involve technology systems and tools used in the delivery of care. Training will reflect the Strive Care Model, clinical policies and procedures, operations, quality programs, and other areas. This role will support all markets nationwide, including corporate personnel, and reports to the Manager, Care Management Education and Development.

Essential Functions:

• Develop training programs that are evidence-based and supportive of adult learning theory.
• Design, deliver and coordinate orientation and training for Strive clinical hires in each new market virtually and in-person.

• Conducts periodic field observations on processes and workflows to ensure a deep understanding of care provision and educational measures are supporting the efficient and correct workflow/processes.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in the education and learning process and implement strategies to improve clinical excellence.
• Provide ongoing education and training for clinical and operational end-users to identify, support, and mitigate issues with technological systems.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on technical applications such as electronic health record and platforms utilized in the provision of care, care coordination and reporting.
• Efficiently and effectively communicates new enhancements of technical applications, workflows/processes, and develops educational resources to support new and revised services.
• Meet in person with internal and/or external stakeholders to facilitate team and business priorities/opportunities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Master of Science, Nursing; Valid Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License issued by the State Board of Nursing
• 4 years’ experience as a family or adult nurse practitioner; valid Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License issued by the State Board of Nursing
• 3+ years of curriculum development and didactic education experience, including a history of teaching technical electronic applications for care delivery.
• 2 years’ experience as a field preceptor of students and/or new clinical hires
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong public speaking skills
• Business travel

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with a valid Nurse Practitioner licensed issued by the State Board of Nursing
• 4+ experience as a family or adult nurse practitioner
• Strong knowledge of AdvancedMD utilization, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice and/or Doctor of Education Degree
• Nephrology/dialysis experience is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple competing priorities
• Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and platform for charts/diagrams (LucidChart)
