Strides is currently seeking a tutor in Warwick for a child with autism. The tutor will be responsible for teaching curriculum based on the child’s IEP goals.

• Valid RI special education certification

• Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans

• Develop and maintain individualized lessons appropriate for the child’s development

• Record and track student growth and progress towards IEP goals and be able to share data with the entire collaborative team

• Work collaboratively with Strides administration and staff

• Develop a positive relationship with the child and child’s family

• Six hours per week; hours are flexible Monday-Friday however, child’s end of school day is 3:00 each day

• Two hours per week; May increase as other opportunities become available

• Hours are flexible Monday-Friday however, hours must be completed before 3 pm.

Qualifications:

• Valid RI special education certification

• Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans

• Experience with children with Autism is a plus
