As an engineer on Strider’s Platform Team, your job is to define and drive simple, efficient software and systems design, tackling hard problems, and finding efficient solutions to power our industry-leading platform. You will also contribute to product innovation and establishing best practices for engineering teams.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, stays on top of the latest trends within the field, and loves to engage with the developer community. A strong desire and aptitude for learning is a must – our solution is rapidly evolving, along with new requirements, technologies and the threat landscape we help protect against.

Responsibilities

• Leveraging Python and other modern programming frameworks, languages, and tools to build scalable, secure software.
• Iterating with our interaction and visual designers to refine the user experience
• Profiling performance to identify and correct bottlenecks
• Building out and iterating on the Strider data model
• Work on a wide range of interesting technical and business projects
• Investigating, prototyping, and implementing new solutions to a wide array of complex system design challenges.
• Work closely with a talented team of engineers and product managers to build microservices-based applications
• Write automated tests for each service while maintaining a code coverage of 80%.
• Develop and maintain software using already established best practices for creating readable and maintainable code

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ professional experience developing applications and supporting end-to-end systems development and delivery in an Agile environment.
• 3+ years’ professional experience developing in Django, Flask or other Python frameworks.
• Good understanding of Python data structures and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience providing in-depth code reviews
• Experience building cloud-native solutions (AWS)
• Experience with developing in a microservices environment
• Basic database experience – creating tables and stored procedures – is a plus
• Experience with Javascript libraries like React and Node is a plus
• Ability to manage time efficiently and focus on clear goals
• A pragmatic approach towards tackling unforeseen challenges
• Experience with Redis
• Experience with authentication systems, such as Auth0

Pay: $110,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
